We survived IKEA.

This past weekend we finally made it to IKEA! I know, I know. Why did it take us so long?! But we finally had a free afternoon and just decided to load up and go for it! We loved it and were overwhelmed at the same time of course. But I will come back to that.

These past two week have been sloooooow. Gloriously slow. We have not had a million things to do and places to go, ย and it has been a nice change of pace. That will all change with Thanksgiving next week and the holiday seasons starting up. Which I am SO looking forward to! I love family time, celebrating, dressing up, and spending time with our dear friends.

So life lately has been spent with just the four of us at home, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! We needed these two weeks to recharge and rest up for the next couple of months!

We love bath time! It includes lots splashing, nursery rhymes, animal noises, and giggles.

We have also enjoyed a lot of trips to the park, because this FALL weather is absolutely perfect! Maybe a few Target runs… I am trying to convince Lilly that she needs a fur vest, but she isn’t too into the idea yet. She’ll come around ๐Ÿ˜‰

Last Saturday we got to host a couples shower for a sweet family that we love in our life group! We can’t wait for Little Stevi to be here!

And we finally made it to the library for story time! It was great for Lilly! The theme was farm animals, so I knew we had to make it. She loved listening to the stories, signing and dancing to nursery rhymes, and playing with new friends! We will definitely be going back.

And lastly, our IKEA trip! After the shower last Saturday when Lilly woke up from her nap I decided we should head to IKEA to look at a few things. I figured we had the hour drive, be there less than two hours, then head home by Lilly’s bedtime. HAHAHA. What a joke! We were in IKEA for almost four hours. FOUR HOURS! We totally lost track of time in that place. And decided to buy a new table, so that took quite some time to find the perfect one. We are so in love with the one we chose! Our old table was nice, but round and only seated four people. Maaaaybe you could squeeze in 6 if you wanted. But this new one is GREAT! It’ll seat up to 12 people?! We are so looking forward to filling it up with loved ones!

How cute is this broccoli pillow?! I tried to tell Nathan she needed it! I think that he though I was joking… But the next morning at church they made vegetable pictures in the nursery! Lilly’s paper had broccoli on it and I was actually sad she didn’t have the pillow. Pregnancy can make you silly ๐Ÿ˜‰

Well friends, that is all for now! Be looking for a bump-date tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by!
